Delivery Specialist

Overview

Delivery Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts. This role involves maintaining and operating store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. The position may involve COD deliveries, collecting customer payments, and handling customer returns. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily inspections prior to operating.
• Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and monies collected at all times.
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to the store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure the vehicle at end of day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Other duties as assigned, including customer service, stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, and related tasks.
• May assist customers, serve as a cashier, or help with merchandising tasks when business dictates.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Required:
  • Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations.
  • Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
  • Must possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet company driving eligibility requirements.
• Desired:
  • Familiar with automotive parts.
  • Ability to operate other light store equipment.
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Compensation Pay Range: $16.50 - $24.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums paid per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
