Responsibilities
  • Safety Program Excellence & Implementation:
    Drive comprehensive safety programs with data-driven strategies. Lead daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments. Implement innovative solutions to prevent injuries. Deliver engaging safety training that promotes a proactive safety culture. Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Associate Advocacy & Cultural Leadership:
    Serve as a trusted safety advisor for associate wellbeing. Build partnerships across all levels, foster a culture where safety is everyone’s priority, coach, and reinforce safe behaviors. Transform safety data into narratives that drive engagement in safety initiatives.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Lift up to 49 pounds; may frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Stand/walk up to 12 hours per shift; varying noise levels; temperatures and weather at delivery stations; stairs (where applicable).
  • Emergency response support and maintaining effective care delivery in emergencies.
Shifts & Certifications

Must be available to work flexible shifts including days, nights, and/or weekends. If you do not hold an adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, obtain within 3 weeks of start date.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year in an environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field OR a bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related field OR 6 months of safety-related experience within Amazon.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
  • Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personal issues in the workplace.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a safety-related field.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer-focus skills.
  • Experience leading and managing a team; ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns; conduct job hazard and job safety analyses.
  • Experience in emergency response and current First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Experience in workers’ compensation case management.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and RSUs. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
