The district is seeking a full time Custodian for the night shift, with hours from 3pm to 11:30pm.

• Keep assigned areas of the buildings and grounds (including sidewalks, driveways and fields) neat, clean, and safe. Scrub, clean, and disinfect all assigned drinking fountains, bathroom floors, and sanitary fixtures as necessary. Wash windows and clean shades and blinds on an established and regular schedule. Keep all floors clean. Clean up body fluids from a sick or injured person, following prescribed procedures.
  
  Remove snow and ice by shoveling, plowing, and/or sanding walks, driveways, parking areas, and steps.
• Follow work schedules and temporary work schedules assigned by the Building Foreman and/or Principal of the school.
• Check regularly the security of the building and ensure that all exit doors are operational and that all panic hardware is working. Work cooperatively with other custodial employees during emergency operations.
• Remove trash and recyclables daily and comply with all laws, regulations and procedures for the storage, disposal and or collection of trash, waste, and recyclables.
• Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning chemicals, requesting replacements in a timely fashion. Store supplies and chemicals in a safe and approved manner.
• Receive deliveries to the building. Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and deliveries as required, requested, and in a safe manner.
• Make recommendations for improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of custodial operations of the school.
• Other duties as may be assigned.

• Hold a Black Seal Boiler Operator License or be able to obtain within one (1) year of employment
• Hold a valid Drivers License and hold a valid commercial driver's license (or be able to obtain within one (1) year of employment) with no serious violations and with endorsements necessary to carry school children in school buses equipped with air brakes
• Have a minimum of one (1) year of previous work related experience
• Clean driving record and ability to pass federal/state background checks, fingerprinting, and drug/alcohol screening
• Knowledge of safe driving practices and school bus operation
• Experience in custodial/maintenance work preferred
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude when working around students and staff

In accordance with the RIHEA Agreement, currently from $55,665 to $71,456.
