Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Night Shift Emergency Department position requiring at least 2 years of acute care experience and compact or MD RN licensure.
Responsibilities- Work in an acute care Emergency Department setting
- 12-hour night shifts with weekends as scheduled
- Unit serves a range of emergency patient cases
- Uses Epic EMR system during shifts
- Subject to a 50-mile radius rule for eligibility
- Scrubs of any color are permitted except denim, camo, or orange
- Candidates who were previously employed as permanent staff at the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
- Travelers must not have worked within the WVU system for more than one year cumulatively and must observe a two-year break to return
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be required according to the schedule
- Active MD or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS, and PALS
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Must provide an unexpired driver’s license for consideration
