Overview
Class A Drivers fresh out of driving school looking to start their career are encouraged to apply. You will start by going out with a trainer, operating on OTR deliveries in 53' Dry Van Trailers, then move to solo regional runs from the Mississippi River westward. Experienced drivers are highly desired too.
Responsibilities- Train with a driver trainer on OTR routes and deliveries in 53' Dry Van trailers.
- Transition to solo regional driving after training.
- Operate in normal driving conditions and align with company safety and quality standards.
- Perform Drop N Hook and live load/unload tasks.
- Maintain 100% no-touch freight where applicable.
- Adhere to driving schedules and maintain timely deliveries while meeting safety requirements.
- Weekly pay: $1000-$1100
- After training pay: .43-.57 per mile on a sliding pay scale
- Experienced drivers: sliding pay scale .50 - .71 per mile, depending on years of experience
- Training pay: $650/week for 4-6 weeks if under 6 months of experience
- Up to $0.06 per mile monthly safety bonus
- Full benefits kick in after 30 days, including medical, dental, 401K, and PTO
- Job details: running lanes all states west of the Mississippi; 100% no-touch dry van freight
- Drop N Hook and live unloads/load
- Bi-weekly home time with at least a 34-hour reset
- 1 day Orientation in Lathrop, CA
- Drivers must be willing to drive during the day or at night
- Average miles per week:
- Must have attended and graduated from an accredited truck driving school with 120+ hours
- Must be 21+ with Valid Class A CDL
- Must have a fairly clean driving record with no major accidents, tickets, or suspensions within the past 5 years
- Cannot have been terminated from last job. Safety to review all criminal convictions
- No DUIs in the last 5 years
- Solid 10-year work history with no major gaps of employment outside of school or training; 6 months in the last year and 1 year in the last 3 years max
- Must be able to pass a Urine and Hair pre-employment drug screen
