Position Overview
The Driver II may drive a bus, shuttle van, or straight truck, or boat–hauling vehicle. Drivers in this position drive vehicles under 26,000 lb such as a passenger bus or a straight truck with air brakes or a combination vehicle. Drivers are required to operate in an efficient, consistent, safe, and timely service.
CompensationHourly rate: $23.00 to $23.00. This figure represents Aramark’s good faith estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities- Complete a daily vehicle inspection form prior to driving and after finishing the route.
- Ensure a pleasant and clean atmosphere is always maintained inside and outside the vehicle.
- Apply all safety equipment available, always wear a seat belt when driving.
- Operate company vehicle weighing under 26,000 lb (GVW) transporting passengers or supplies and equipment to and from designated locations.
- Drive defensively, safely, and cautiously in all situations.
- Provide exceptional customer service skills when encountering guests; ensure a positive representation of the company is always demonstrated.
- Pickup and drop off guests at designated locations.
- Act as a concierge resource for passengers, being highly knowledgeable about the property and surrounding area.
- Lift guest luggage weighing up to 80 lb into the vehicle when required.
- Fuel, clean, and inspect the vehicle when required.
- Identify maintenance and safety issues, take corrective steps, and report malfunctions immediately.
- Complete all vehicle logbooks properly, including rider‑ship information.
- Work with the Transportation Office dispatcher to ensure special requests and group requests are completed.
- Work as a warehouse driver, safely and promptly transporting equipment to and from the warehouse when assigned.
- Perform maintenance and safety inspections on service trucks, pickups, trailers, and other vehicles and equipment, including checking and changing oil and tires, lights, and general vehicle condition.
- Take the vehicle to car wash when necessary.
- Assist with clerical work, answer phones, work as a dispatcher, and perform other office duties when required.
- For Dry Storage Drivers, sell and dispense propane following federal dispensing laws, dispensing only into bottles with OPD under 10 lb.
- Operate a cash register occasionally when handling cash, traveler’s checks, and credit cards in a safe and accurate manner.
- Understand the machinery and chemicals used, be aware of SDS sheets and books, and read and use this information when necessary.
- Attend all scheduled department and safety meetings.
- Share innovative ideas to improve efficiency and operations.
- Know and follow all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies, and energy, and the rules of the road.
- Be age 21 years or older.
- Have at least 1 year of professional driving experience and vehicle mechanical experience, preferably with customer service experience.
- Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record showing five years of prior safe driving.
- Pass a DOT physical examination and obtain a medical card.
- Pass a pre‑employment drug/alcohol test and participate in the random drug/alcohol testing pool.
