Fitness Trainer

Role Description

This on-site, part-time Fitness Trainer role is based in Oakland, CA. Responsibilities include leading kickboxing fitness sessions, demonstrating proper technique, motivating members to achieve their fitness goals, and ensuring a safe and clean training environment. Additionally, the trainer will engage with members to provide an excellent customer experience, assist in maintaining equipment, and contribute to creating a positive and energetic atmosphere.

Trainers will work closely with team members to support continuous improvement and member satisfaction.

• Strong knowledge and proficiency in fitness instruction, kickboxing techniques, and exercise principles
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills to engage and inspire members
• Ability to demonstrate proper form and safe exercise techniques to prevent injuries
• Experience in creating and following effective fitness plans tailored to individual member needs
• Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to ensuring a welcoming and positive gym environment
• CPR/AED certification is preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Previous experience in group fitness or kickboxing instruction is a plus
