Position Summary

Oakland Roots Sports Club is seeking an analytical leader to serve as Manager, Data Analytics. Reporting to the Senior Director of Ticket Sales Operations and Business Intelligence, this role transforms data into actionable insights that drive revenue growth and operational excellence across the ticket sales, merchandise, sponsorship, and marketing departments. This position requires exceptional analytic rigor, the ability to work with complex and inconsistent data structures, strong communication skills for translating data learnings into plain English for non-data practitioners, and a proven track record of delivering accurate analysis that directly informs strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Data Analytics, Reporting & Strategic Planning
  • Develop sophisticated pricing models and predictive sales and revenue modeling for ticket sales, merchandise, and sponsorship by correlating complex year-over-year data with variable structures, seasonality patterns, and external market factors
  • Build robust analytical frameworks that harmonize evolving historical data—accommodating changes in product offerings, categorizations, and business structures, to enable accurate trend analysis and forecasting
  • Create and maintain dashboards tracking key metrics for ticket sales, merchandise, sponsorship and marketing, including pipeline health, conversion rates, revenue generation, renewals, and new partnership development
  • Provide real-time sales pacing, insights and analytics to support the Director of Ticket Sales, the Senior Vice President of Brand Partnerships, and all other revenue generating projects as assigned
  • Generate targeted call lists and directional outreach plans for the ticket sales team based on customer segmentation, purchase patterns, and conversion likelihood to support theme-based campaigns that optimize lead generation
  • Identify data gaps and proactively recommend acquisition strategies and solutions to ensure complete targeting capabilities for high-priority sales initiatives
  • Analyze revenue trends to identify growth opportunities and proactively surface actionable insights that anticipate business needs
