As a Program Leader - Lifeguard
, you help keep the waterfront safe and fun for campers. You guard the swimming area
, support and lead daily activities
, and help camp run smoothly outside of swim times. This role is active, steady, and a big part of the camp experience

Program Leader - Lifeguard - 2026 Job Description

• Guard the swim area and watch for safety concerns.
• Enforce rules and respond when help is needed.
• Set up and clean up the waterfront each day.
• Lead camp activities when the swimming hole is closed.
• Assist with camp-wide programs
  , events, and weekly changeover tasks.
• Keep equipment clean, organized, and ready to use.

Your work helps campers feel safe, included, and excited to be at the water every day
.

• 18 or older.
• Strong swimmer with comfort in moving, natural bodies of water.
• Lifeguard certified or ability to get certified.
• Comfortable enforcing rules in a kind, clear way.
• Stays calm and focused in emergency situations.
• Works well with a team and enjoys helping others
  .
• Someone dependable who shows up on time and works hard
  .
