The Journeyman Crane Mechanic is responsible for the daily inspection, maintenance, repairs and rebuilds of lift equipment and cranes.

• AC/DC Converters
• VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) multiple manufacturers on various equipment
• Programmable logic controllers
• Industrial control maintenance and troubleshooting (low and high voltage)
• Maintains, tests, and repairs low to high voltage electrical equipment, including circuits, transformers, high voltage switches, motor control centers
• Maintenance of motor repair, including Cummins Hybrid maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, CAN bus systems
• Hydraulic systems
• Reads, interprets, and assists in the design of electrical and electronic schematics, mechanical and instrumentation drawings, wiring diagrams, and construction drawings necessary to install, service, and repair equipment in accordance with related regulations and vendor specifications
• Conduct on-site electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic troubleshooting to determine cause for equipment malfunction and establish the necessary repairs using visual inspection, test procedures and appropriate test equipment
• May perform Welding / Fabrication 3G and 4G
• Ensure operational condition of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and repairs per manufacturer’s recommendations to ensure safety and compliance with all federal and state regulations
• Analyze and diagnose potential malfunctions, defects, damage, or excessive wear
• Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts and other mechanical equipment and subassemblies
• Regularly test overhauled equipment to ensure it is operating efficiently
• Maintain accuracy while maintaining all equipment maintenance files
• Ensure services provided follow all safety procedures, including wearing PPE when applicable (safety toe boots, hard hat, ear protection, safety glasses)
• Maintain company values, rules, policies, and procedures to fulfill the company mission and foster productive relationships with customers and vendors
• All other duties as assigned by management and/or supervisor
