Electrical Technician

Dot Connector/Storyteller/Brand Advocate

Objective:

Support facility operations through safe, efficient, and compliant electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Essential Functions:

• Install, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, control systems, and lighting in industrial settings
• Diagnose and repair electrical components and systems
• Interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams for maintenance and installation tasks
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and federal codes
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
• Collaborate with team members to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and installations
• Adhere to company safety protocols and OSHA standards

Qualifications:

• Education & Certification:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid electrician certification or license (as required by local jurisdiction)
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial electrical work
  • Familiarity with electrical tools, diagrams, and safety procedures
• Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office)
  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance
• Physical & Environmental Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in plant/facility conditions
  • Visual acuity sufficient for electrical inspections (corrective lenses acceptable)
  • May require occasional interaction with external vendors or locations
