Armed Security Officers

Job Summary
  • Monitoring Surveillance Systems – Observing security cameras to detect suspicious activity.
  • Patrolling Premises – Conducting routine security checks to deter theft and ensure safety.
  • Identifying and Preventing Theft – Watching for shoplifters, dishonest employees, or fraudulent activities.
  • Investigating Incidents – Documenting and reporting theft, vandalism, or security breaches.
  • Apprehending Suspects – Detaining individuals caught stealing or violating policies, if permitted by law.
  • Collaborating with Law Enforcement – Assisting police with investigations and providing necessary evidence.
  • Ensuring Compliance – Enforcing company policies, loss prevention procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Providing Customer Service – Acting as a visible deterrent while maintaining a professional and helpful presence.
    • Conduct regular observation of client premises and report any suspicious activity.
    • Perform foot patrols, monitor the perimeter, and handle incident reporting.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Deliver excellent customer service while adhering to safety, security procedures, and site-specific policies.
    • Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving skills.
    • Patrol the site on foot to identify potential dangers or criminal activity.
    • Report any suspicious activity to supervisors or law enforcement as necessary.
    • Maintain accurate reports by documenting observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
    • Issue verbal warnings, make arrests (if applicable), and/or contact law enforcement for security violations or criminal activities.
    • Adapt to various working environments and conditions.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    Minimum Qualifications
    • Valid California Guard Card required.
    • Power to arrest certificate required.
    • Appropriate Use of Force certificate required.
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Be at least 25 years of age.
    • Firearms Permit.
    • Defensive Tactics.

    • Ability to meet all physical demands such as standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
    • Must pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a criminal record, driving record, and drug testing.
