• Read and write English, interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The Part-Time Associate reports to the Store Manager and performs both management‑assigned duties and other store responsibilities such as receiving inventory, stocking, and operating a cash register. Duties may include, but are not limited to, carry‑out services and store cleaning.

• Maintain a store section: order, receive, and stock merchandise using proper equipment; ensure proper pricing; check product date codes to validate rotation; stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, and refrigerated/frozen cases; prepare perishable products for sale; set up promotional displays; review invoices/bills for accuracy.
• Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of the store and parking lot, as directed by store management.
• Operate a cash register: receive payment from customers; make change or process check, charge, or debit transactions; process cash or credit refunds when approved by management; verify customer eligibility when selling alcoholic beverages.
• Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers by providing current store and product information; load customer purchases into vehicles when requested.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties: record lost or damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools.
