Pump Mechanic

The Park District is currently recruiting for a Pump Mechanic in the Public Works Administration Department of the Operations Division. This on-site position will be headquartered at South County Corp Yard in Castro Valley, CA. The hiring pools established from this recruitment will be used to fill the current vacancies and additional vacancies that may occur during the one-year life of the hiring pools.

• Possesses mechanical aptitude and is eager to continue learning
• Has experience installing, changing, or repairing pumps in the field
• Has experience as a mechanic, pipefitter, or plumber
• Understands safety procedures related to pump maintenance, plumbing, or wastewater work
