Job Description

We’re hiring experienced PICC RNs as well as RNs with strong Ultrasound‑Guided IV (USGIV) experience who are ready to grow. Those without PICC experience can train with us to become PICC certified

As a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant, you will work collaboratively with our customer’s clinical team to resolve venous access issues and facilitate the treatment objectives of the treating physician. You may work inside or outside the hospital setting depending on each referral, providing a unique career opportunity to observe different treatment protocols and patient challenges.

As a VTP Vascular Access Nurse Consultant you will:
  • Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs with ultrasound and use ECG confirmation.
  • Assist with management of PICCs and vascular access devices.
  • Provide a wide range of vascular access support services, including but not limited to port access, line removal, and declotting.
  • Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs, midlines, and many other CVADs.
  • Eligible for $10,000 sign‑on bonus for full‑time employment, based on prior vascular access experience.
Scheduling

Consultants visit patients in different customer facilities and must be willing to travel to those sites. Full‑time scheduling requirements include three to four days per week, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation. Part‑time (Per Diem) scheduling requirements include a minimum of four scheduled shifts per month, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation.

Training and Experience Requirements
  • Ideal candidates are experienced in both ultrasound‑guided IV (USGIV) placements and vascular access device (VAD) insertions.
  • Training available in some locations for candidates with recent, consistent USGIV placement experience.
  • Priority given to fully trained vascular access nurses, but additional training available for those with strong USGIV skills.
Required Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with a current license.
  • American Heart BLS Certification.
  • Experience in vascular access device management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience placing ultrasound‑guided IVs.
  • Ability to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated by job classification.
  • Valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to patient sites.
  • Must possess a smartphone.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in acute care.
  • Experience with other vascular access device (VAD) placements using ultrasound.

Compensation is based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.

Hourly Pay Range

$60 – $75 USD
