Travel Nurse, ICU Nurse
Overview
RN // ICU - Intensive Care Unit All On-site 13 weeks
Day Shift 8 hours/day 4 days/week
Responsibilities- Provide specialized, high-acuity care to critically ill patients requiring constant monitoring and advanced life support. Assess and monitor vital signs, administer medications, manage ventilators and other ICU equipment, and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the healthcare team to implement individualized care plans and interventions.
- Educate patients and families, provide emotional support, and ensure patient safety.
- Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to infection control practices, and comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIH
- CA RN License
- 3+ Years of RN ICU experience
- 6 month Travel Experience
- Floating:
May float to other units within scope of practice; may float to Ashby or Herrick Campus depending on need/census.
- Shift: Day 4x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30)
- Weekend Requirements: EOW and whenever the unit needs
- On Call:
As Needed
The expectation is for travel nurses to be flexible with floating to different campuses or within the hospital. Travelers can anticipate a notice of 1.5 hours prior to shift start time in most cases. A shuttle is provided if floating is requested.
