WeVote has an open volunteering position for a Political Ads Strategist to help strengthen American Democracy. Experienced professional (3–5 years) with hands‑on campaign strategy and media buying across Google Ads, Meta Ads, Tik Tok, Reddit, and other platforms. Work with an excellent, nationally recognized team. Position is for 2+ hours per week.
What You’ll Do- Develop strategic campaign plans that drive awareness and engagement with WeVote’s voter education tools
- Identify target audiences and recommend optimal media channels (digital, social, grassroots partnerships, etc.)
- Partner with campaign managers and creative leads to ensure messaging aligns with WeVote’s mission and values
- Monitor campaign performance and provide strategic recommendations for improvement
- Help set KPIs and benchmarks for advertising initiatives
- Collaborate with content, design, and engineering volunteers to produce creative assets and landing page experiences that are on‑brand and accessible
- Create repeatable playbooks, templates, and checklists so additional volunteers can execute and scale during peak periods
- 3–5 years of hands‑on experience planning, launching, and optimizing paid digital campaigns as a campaign strategist or digital ads manager
- Data‑driven mindset with strong spreadsheet skills and experience creating concise performance reports
- Clear, concise copy and brief‑writing skills; ability to translate messaging into testable ad variations; meticulous about compliance, privacy, and brand safety; working knowledge of platform political ad rules and nonpartisan standards
- A willingness to work with and support other volunteers; strong communication and documentation habits
- 2+ hours per week during our core team hours M–F 8 a.m. – 6 p.m
- You are currently located in the US and can work one or two hours that overlap with US Pacific Time per week
