Lab Production Manager

We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Laboratory Production Manager to manage our extraction lab staff. The successful candidate will oversee the scheduling and throughput of cannabis extraction and post processing, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, maintaining quality control, and managing day to day laboratory operations and staff. This role is critical for producing high-quality cannabis extracts while fostering a safe and efficient work environment.

Reports to:

Director of Operations

Laboratory Management:

• Supervise and manage laboratory personnel, training, support, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee daily extraction lab operations, ensuring adherence to protocols and safety standards and performance standards.
• In cooperation with the Director of Operations, set weekly production tasks for lab staff
• Verify accurate records of extraction processes, test results, and compliance documentation including physical, digital logs.
• In cooperation with the Lab Director, manage and conduct regular inspections and audits of extraction processes, equipment, supplies and inventory.
• Ensure all weekly tasks are completed and logged in Metrc and Odoo(ERP System). Investigate and shore up discrepancies.
• In cooperation with the Lab Director, ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations pertaining to cannabis extraction and processing.
• Maintain quality control protocols.
• Be the first point of contact and escalate to appropriate personnel for technical issues and coordinate repairs or upgrades as needed.
• Prepare detailed reports for management and ensure clarity and accuracy.
• Train and develop employees.

Qualifications:

• Three years of management experience.
• Strong understanding of extraction methodologies, laboratory practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient in laboratory management software and data analysis tools.
