Fred Finch Youth & Family Services partners with individuals and communities to provide culturally responsive services that cultivate mental and physical resilience and wellness.

Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) is a short‑term, intensive mental health intervention designed to support children and youth experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges. TBS is provided in conjunction with other mental health services and focuses on reducing behaviors that interfere with functioning at home, school, or in the community. The goal is to help participants build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and prevent higher levels of care or placement disruption.

What

You Will Do

The Program Director directs the delivery of effective, high‑quality services of one or more programs serving youth and/or young adults. Duties include direct and indirect supervision and oversight of all service planning and delivery, program and resource development and management, personnel management including hiring, evaluation, coaching, and training. The Director provides leadership congruent with applicable regulation as well as agency policy, values, and mission;

provides management reports as required; and leads significant program committees or efforts as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic oversight of service planning, program development, and resource management
  • Supervisory personnel management including hiring, evaluation, coaching, and training
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies and applicable regulations
  • Prepare and submit required management reports
  • Lead major program initiatives, committees, or special projects
  • Manage multiple funding streams and ensure fiscal accountability
  • Supervise both direct and indirect reports across program areas
  • Represent the agency in partnerships with funders, government agencies, and community organizations
Qualifications
  • M.A. or M.S.W. Degree and LCSW, LPC, or MFT with the B.B.S.
  • Two (2) years post‑licensure experience
  • Proven leadership experience in youth or family‑based services
  • Strong background in program management, staff supervision, and compliance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage complex funding structures and reporting requirements
  • Skilled in using trauma‑informed de‑escalation techniques to support participants in crisis
  • Culturally responsive in working with diverse families and communities
  • Valid California Driver’s License or ability to obtain within 10 days of hire; clean driving record required
