Overview
UC Riverside's Auxiliary Facilities Services is recruiting for the Lead Custodian. The full salary range for the Lead Custodian is $25.00 - $28.89 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Please note the realized minimum pay for this position will be $25 an hour.
This recruitment may be used to fill multiple positions with varying schedules. Positions may include shifts scheduled across all seven days of the week and throughout the day. Specific schedules will be discussed at the time of interview.
- The Lead Custodian leads, guides and performs a variety of custodial/housekeeping tasks to care, maintain, disinfect, sanitize, and preserve campus facilities.
- Responsible to clean, dust, strip, wax, sweep, mop, polish, disinfect, sanitize, vacuum, replenish restrooms, and remove refuse/recycling throughout campus facilities, conference rooms, elevators, stairwells, exteriors, etc.
- May work independently or as part of a team in assigned work areas.
- Oversees critical day-to-day operations in supervisor's absence; acts as a subject matter expert and provides leadership to custodial/housekeeping staff who perform such tasks.
- Maintains a positive attitude and communicates effectively with colleagues, supervisors, staff, faculty and students.
- Required to hold valid driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.
- Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
- As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
