Position:
Campus Maintenance and Trades – MEA / NEA. Incumbent represented by MEA / NEA. Open for a minimum of five working days; external applicants may be considered. Qualified bargaining unit members will receive interviews and initial consideration.

- Monday through Thursday 8 pm to 4:30 am
- Friday 5 pm to 1:30 am

Schedule:
Hourly.
Number of Hours per Week: 40.
Position PurposeTo perform cleaning activities and maintain assigned areas in various campus classroom and office buildings and, on an emergency basis, perform grounds related tasks.
Minimum Qualifications- High school graduation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- The ability to read the directions for the use of fertilizers, mixing of various cleaning compounds and chemicals and other related materials and written instructions.
- Perform physically active work requiring frequent standing, reaching, walking, bending, digging, shoveling, pulling, pushing, climbing on a ladder and lifting in order to perform various grounds tasks.
- Work with fertilizers, cleaning compounds and chemicals, polishing materials and other substances that may produce strong and/or offensive odors.
- Work in various weather conditions with extremes in heat and cold.
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the University.
All minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.
