Job Description & How to Apply Below
Litigation Associate – Construction (4–8 Years)
I'm partnering with a highly respected California law firm to help grow their construction-focused litigation team in Oakland. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigator who wants real responsibility, meaningful case ownership, and long-term career growth—not just a seat on large teams.
Why this role stands out:- Hands-on litigation work with opportunities to serve as first or second chair
- Exposure to sophisticated, high-stakes matters with room to manage cases end-to‑to‑end
- Supportive, collegial environment with strong mentorship and training
- Clear path for advancement and the chance to build a long‑term practice
- 4–8 years of complex litigation experience
- Experience with (or strong interest in) construction‑related disputes
- Excellent legal writing and research skills
- Strong academic background
- A collaborative mindset and entrepreneurial approach to practice
- Base salary range: $200,000–$260,000 (DOE)
- Annual discretionary + billable bonuses
- 401(k) with partial match and profit sharing
- Reasonable billable expectations
If you’re currently in Big Law or a litigation‑heavy environment and looking for more ownership, better balance, and a firm where people actually enjoy working together, this is worth a conversation.
