The Business Analyst will support the Integrated Grid Planning (IGP) organization by delivering data-driven insights and operational analysis to support planning and investment decisions. The role focuses on building automated reporting routines, maintaining high-quality datasets, and supporting cross-functional teams with actionable analytics. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, expertise in Power BI and SAP data analysis, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into clear documentation and actionable insights.
The analyst will also support data cataloging initiatives and maintain organized documentation across multiple projects. The position is primarily remote with occasional onsite collaboration and offers the opportunity to work with advanced platforms such as Copperleaf and Foundry while supporting enterprise grid planning initiatives.
- Build and maintain automated data routines and reporting processes to ensure data accuracy and quality.
- Respond to ad hoc data requests and support operational analysis initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
- Develop and maintain business requirements and support business process documentation.
- Document processes, projects, and requirements for Integrated Grid Planning initiatives.
- Conduct data analysis using SAP, GIS tools, Foundry, and Microsoft Excel.
- Track and record investment changes accurately for planning and reporting purposes.
- Maintain and organize project documentation using SharePoint.
- Support cataloging and documentation activities across multiple initiatives.
- Analyze business and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Collect, clean, integrate, and manage enterprise data from systems such as SAP and GIS.
- Extract and analyze SAP data to support reporting and planning efforts.
- Utilize GIS tools to generate spatial analysis and location-based insights.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Implementation Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience working with data analytics tools and enterprise systems.
- Experience supporting business process documentation and operational analysis initiatives.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting technical information.
- Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
- Experience with Copperleaf or other asset investment planning tools.
- Experience using Foundry or Palantir data platforms.
- Experience working with energy utilities or power systems environments.
- Experience with enterprise data modeling and advanced analytics tools.
