The Category Management Consultant is a key member of Bedrock’s Client Success, responsible for driving strategic impact across our client base by helping CPG brands turn data into action. As a subject matter expert in both Bedrock’s platform and the broader CPG ecosystem, you will guide clients in deploying insights to win at retail.
This role is ideal for a category management professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and wants to blend analytics expertise with strategic consulting.
Core Responsibilities- Act as a Bedrock product expert, guiding clients on how to deploy the platform across sales and insights teams. With the goal to increase value, increase platform usage and drive tangible results for clients.
- Build scalable frameworks and repeatable insight delivery processes that drive measurable value across a wide set of clients.
- Translate insights into real-world retail wins, providing strategic guidance that aligns with client goals. Connecting Bedrock platform use to wins at retail for our clients.
- Expert analytical storyteller verbally and visually. Strong in PPT, excel and BI tools (not needed to code) to build out expertly crafted stories.
- Lead and own consulting engagements, including scoping, delivery, and follow-ups.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to upskill clients and ensure strong platform adoption.
- Proactively identify opportunities to add value — often without a pre-defined project brief — by understanding client needs and translating them into strategic initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional Bedrock teams (Account Management, Client Ops, Product) to align deliverables and expand value.
- 3–7 years of Category Management experience, preferably within the CPG industry.
- Deep knowledge of syndicated data (NIQ, Circana, SPINS).
- Experience engaging directly with retailers in a Category Management or Sales capacity.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Self-starter who thrives in a startup environment and can manage ambiguity with confidence.
- A “tools person” that can quickly learn and teach others how to use tools (No coding needed)
- Experience deploying tools or processes across Sales teams.
