This role is a critical need for a technical resource dedicated to regulatory and compliance reporting. The position will focus on regulatory deliverables, audits, and compliance-driven reporting requirements are met accurately and on time. This role requires deep technical expertise in healthcare data environments, strong SQL capabilities, and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into scalable reporting solutions.
Core Responsibilities Regulatory & Compliance Reporting- Design, develop, and maintain regulatory and compliance reports for internal leadership and external governing bodies (e.g., CMS and related healthcare oversight entities).
- Translate regulatory requirements into structured data models and reporting frameworks.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of compliance submissions.
- Monitor evolving healthcare regulations and proactively adjust reporting logic and data capture mechanisms.
- Support audit readiness by maintaining documentation of data sources, transformations, and report logic.
- Write complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and performance-optimized data transformations in SQL Server.
- Develop and maintain Power BI datasets, semantic models, dashboards, and paginated reports.
- Build and maintain SSRS reports for operational and regulatory use cases.
- Design scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and validation of compliance-related datasets.
- Validate data integrity across multiple systems, ensuring consistency between source systems and reporting outputs.
- Act as a technical liaison between data systems and executive stakeholders.
- Conduct requirement-gathering sessions with senior leadership, including clinical, legal, HR, and finance stakeholders.
- Provide consultative guidance on how regulatory data should be structured, interpreted, and visualized.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and reporting artifacts.
- Communicate complex data findings in a clear, executive-ready format.
- Work within the eClinical
Works (ECW) ecosystem to extract, validate, and model healthcare data. - Partner with clinical and operational stakeholders to ensure EHR data is properly structured for reporting.
- Identify opportunities to modernize legacy reporting processes through automation and AI-enabled analytics where applicable.
- Contribute to modernization initiatives, including:
- Migrating static reports to interactive Power BI dashboards.
- Improving data governance and data quality standards.
- Introducing automation into regulatory workflows.
- Support broader technology transformation initiatives involving advanced analytics and AI-driven insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare data environments.
- Demonstrated experience with regulatory and compliance reporting in healthcare.
- Advanced proficiency in:
- SQL Server
- T‑SQL (complex joins, CTEs, stored procedures, performance tuning)
- SSRS
- Experience working directly with executive-level stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data structures and regulatory reporting frameworks.
- Experience working with eClinical
Works (ECW). - Background in business analysis or formal requirements gathering.
- Experience in lean, high-growth IT or data environments.
- Exposure to data modernization initiatives, reporting automation, or AI-enabled analytics.
- Occasional visits to operational centers as needed.
- Potential hybrid flexibility may be considered over time based on performance and business needs.
