Position Summary
We’re looking for a candidate with hands-on experience supporting Asset Performance Management (APM) solutions in the utility industry, ideally with SAP exposure. This role partners closely with Electric Operations, field organizations, and IT teams to improve how asset data, maintenance processes, and operational workflows are captured, analyzed, and used to drive reliability and risk reduction.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:

- Primarily responsible for administration and support of APM solution used by substation operations for construction, maintenance, and inspection.
- Partner with Electric Operations stakeholders to understand field construction and maintenance workflows and translate them into system requirements and usable solutions.
- Lead requirements gathering sessions (workshops, interviews, process mapping), document current/future state, and drive alignment across IT and Operations.
- Own end-to-end requirements artifacts: business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data needs, and test scenarios.
- Coordinate with technical teams and vendors on solution design, integrations, and data flows (including alignment with SAP where applicable).
- Support change management: stakeholder communications, training needs, release readiness, and operational adoption.
- Help prioritize backlog/work based on business value, risk reduction, reliability impact, and operational feasibility.
- Provide ongoing production support mindset: issue triage, root cause coordination, and continuous improvement.
Minimum:
- BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Computer Science/Information Systems, etc. or equivalent work experience.
- 4 years of job related experience in Business, IT or Engineering fields.
- Participation in projects of medium to high complexity
- Continuous education in IT and business specific areas.
Desired:
- APM experience in the utility industry (electric preferred): exposure to asset health, predictive analytics, reliability programs, or maintenance optimization in an operational environment.
- Good understanding of systems used by field employees supporting construction and maintenance (work management, mobile/field tools, inspections, work orders, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of electric utility assets and operations processes (substation and/or distribution/transmission assets; maintenance, inspection, corrective work, outages, compliance workflows).
- Proven experience leading requirements sessions and facilitating discussions across IT, operations, and leadership stakeholders.
- Ability to translate operational needs into clear, testable requirements and drive decisions through ambiguity.
- Strong communication skills: can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and operational realities to technical teams.
- SAP experience (EAM/PM, work management, master data concepts, notifications/work orders, integrations) strongly preferred.
- Experience working with APM platforms (any vendor) and integrating with enterprise systems (SAP, GIS, data lake/warehouse, historian/SCADA, reporting tools).
- Utility field deployment/adoption experience (training, change management, go-live support).
- Familiarity with asset health indices, risk frameworks, or reliability metrics in electric operations.
