Systems Analysis, Consultant

The Platform Operations Engineer will report to the Sr. Director, IT Product Management. In this role you will be the comprehensive subject matter expert in the workings of Stellarus production application landscape including tracking and monitoring on incident management and production performance. Your Work

In this role, you will:

• Track and report on platform operational health metrics, JIRA hygiene, and incident/problem management.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and executive reports to communicate operational status, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to identify and implement operational improvements/efficiencies across the organization, including operational automation, enhanced monitoring and observability, and fault detection.
• Monitor and analyze operational data to proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
• Lead efforts to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
• Own the hygiene and accuracy of JIRA boards, ensuring work items are up-to-date and reflect true operational status.
• Support incident/problem tracking and post-incident reviews, driving continuous improvement in reliability and response.
• Partner with teams to automate reporting and metric collection, leveraging tools such as the Atlassian suite.
• Prepare executive materials for leadership reviews, QBRs, and strategic planning sessions.
• Serve as a resource for operational best practices, documentation, and process improvement initiatives.

Work directly with the product stakeholders and/or technology product teams to provide continuous quality improvement feedback

Configure, develop (scripts, queries, reports), test, troubleshoot (system and application log interrogation), evaluate performance, and support (monitoring and impact remediation).

Ensure security and compliance standards are met throughout the development and deployment process.

Your Knowledge and Experience

• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience.
• Requires at least 5 years of directly related professional experience and deep technical
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders and technical counterparts
• Excellent problem-solving and prioritization skills.
• Demonstrated experience in collaborating with development and operations teams to streamline the product delivery lifecycle.
• Experience documenting agile workflows and processes.
• Experience utilizing the Atlassian suite of products
• Requires basic technical knowledge and experience including adherence to architectural design, development standards, security policies, and sustainable design practices
