We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Imaging Scheduler to provide critical scheduling and coordination support for patients receiving diabetes education and related imaging services. This role is essential for maintaining patient access and seamless departmental operations during a team member's extended leave of absence. Compensation: $24.00 – $25.00 per hour
Status: Contract (13 Weeks with potential for extension/permanent hire)
Schedule: Standard Business Hours | 100% Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Appointment Management: Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments specifically for diabetes education and related imaging services.
- Clinical Coordination: Partner with diabetes educators and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care and optimal provider utilization.
- Communication: Manage high volumes of incoming calls, voicemails, and electronic requests with professional service.
- Verification: Confirm appointment details, provider availability, and ensure all required documentation is in place prior to patient visits.
- Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous and up-to-date records within the electronic scheduling system.
- Patient Advocacy: Clearly communicate logistics, preparation instructions, and any schedule changes to patients to ensure a positive experience.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to HIPAA, privacy regulations, and organizational policies.
- Experience: Previous background in medical scheduling, healthcare administration, or a related clinical support role.
- Efficiency: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Exceptional customer service skills and a professional phone presence.

Skills:
Proficiency with medical scheduling systems and basic computer applications. - Reliability: Ability to work independently and maintain a 100% onsite presence in Oakland.
- Experience in outpatient or hospital-based settings.
- Familiarity with diabetes care, imaging services, or specialty clinics.
- Hands-on experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
This is a 100% onsite position located at a patient-care facility in Oakland (94609). You will interact frequently with patients, clinical staff, and providers.
The initial contract is set for 13 weeks
