Clinical Account Specialist (San Jose, Oakland, San Francisco, Salinas, Santa Clara) - Johnson & Johnson Med Tech, Electrophysiology
We are seeking a Clinical Account Specialist to cover San Jose, Oakland, San Francisco, Salinas, and Santa Clara. The role focuses on providing clinical and technical support for electrophysiology systems and catheter equipment, educating customers, and collaborating with the field sales team to drive business in the assigned geography.

Fueled by innovation at the intersection of biology and technology, we’re developing smarter, less invasive, more personalized treatments for cardiovascular care, including electrophysiology. The Cardiovascular team develops leading solutions for heart recovery, electrophysiology, and stroke.
Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to physicians and EP Lab staff on the use of electrophysiology systems and catheter equipment during case procedures within the assigned geography.
- Educate customers on electrophysiology products to optimize usage through technical and clinical information and in-service training.
- Collaborate with peers to share best practices and increase value for customers.
- Use consultative selling techniques to identify potential sales opportunities within accounts.
- Create awareness of electrophysiology solutions and facilitate Territory Sales Manager contact with key decision makers to drive incremental business.
- Maximize customer case support capability through proper planning and scheduling.
- Maintain open communication with local teams, including TM, other CAS, and support partners, to coordinate activities.
- Develop and share best practices with US Field Sales, Service, and internal partners.
- Develop and grow customer relationships within and beyond the EP lab, including physicians, nurses, technicians, and hospital staff.
- Stay current on product instructions for use, best practices, troubleshooting, and relevant clinical literature.
- Prioritize and respond to requests in a high-stress environment; maintain composure and problem-solving focus.
- Engage with internal and external partners to formulate solutions and provide mentoring for new team members as requested.
- Respond to customer inquiries via email and voicemail; perform administrative tasks including documentation, compliance training, expense reporting, and system input; maintain Safe Fleet standards.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and safety practices; escalate issues to management as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant professional work/military experience
- At least 2 years of clinical or technical work experience in a patient care or hospital environment, or completion of the company’s ACAS program
- Valid United States driver’s license
- Advanced clinical knowledge of cardiac ablation and cardio imaging; technical knowledge of EP technology and landscape
- Maintains clinical knowledge of healthcare industry, disease states, and therapeutic trends
- Ability to travel up to 40% overnight locally, regionally, and nationally, sometimes on short notice
- Ability to sit for extended periods in hospital environments, work with protective gear, and accommodate variable hours
- May lift up to 60 lbs
- Electrophysiology/Cath Lab or EP/Cardiovascular Device industry experience
- Maintaining at least one industry certification (CEPS/IBHRE, RCES/RCIS)
- Experience with complex technical systems and high-acuity patient care settings
- Strong communication, autonomy, adaptability, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Willingness to learn and build new skills

The anticipated base pay range for this position is: $67,000 - $108,100
