Job Details:

• Provide critical care nursing in ICU/CPU unit caring for adult patients

• Maintain 2:1 patient ratio experience required

• Work every other weekend and as unit needs require

• On-call availability as needed

• Float to other units within scope of practice including Ashby or Herrick Campus with 1.5 hours notice

• Shuttle transportation provided for floating assignments

• 48 hours of orientation provided

• Complete mandatory modules during orientation (1-5 hours average)

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, CA RN License (all AHA certified)

• Must have 3+ years ICU experience and 6 months travel experience

• Epic charting system experience preferred

• Community hospital experience preferred

• Care for patients with diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, STEMI, heart failure, stroke, cardiogenic shock, and various surgical cases

• Manage complex equipment including CRRT, EKOS, ventilators, IABP, and Impella devices

• Perform specialized procedures such as ECMO care, arterial line management, ventilator management, and cardiac intervention support

• Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

• Unit census ranges from 16-20 patients with 24 total beds

• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing

• 7-year work history verification required
