Job DescriptionWe are searching for the best talent for a Senior Plastic Surgery Sales Representative located in Oakland, Walnut Creek, or Marin County, CA covering the East Bay territory. The role is part of the Med Tech Sales organization and focuses on expanding the sales of Mentor products and converting competitive products in a manner that aligns with company policy and sales direction.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate effective product differentiation selling skills and business development by providing a consultative sales approach to customers’ businesses, developing effective pre‑call plans, assessing customer needs, handling objections, presenting visual aids, closing, and following up.
- Build strong relationships and hold customers accountable to commitments; maintain a high level of customer interaction.
- Manage account growth with strong knowledge of the business environment and products; educate the customer, understand their circumstances, needs, and concerns; motivate customers to become product advocates; build strategic working relationships; develop and service KOLs; allocate marketing programs.
- Proficiently position the Mentor portfolio for both augmentation and reconstruction settings.
- Meet productivity goals across the product portfolio.
- Manage and execute across multiple product call points including private practice, surgery centers, and hospitals.
- Assess territory metrics to develop and implement territory business plans.
- Implement and promote marketing programs in private practice settings.
- Meet sales training requirements set forth by senior leadership and complete administrative requirements and timelines set by the Regional Manager.
- Manage and complete all consignment audits before deadlines; maintain territory within regional travel and budget.
- Proficiency of market knowledge; technical fluency across the Mentor portfolio and competitor products; knowledge of breast anatomy; articulate strategy to customers, management, and team members.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in the Aesthetics Industry / Medical Device Sales
- 4 or more years of medical sales experience and/or training
- Surgical Sales Experience preferred
- Knowledge of clinical, surgical techniques and procedures, and medical terminology preferred
- Ability to identify decision makers and influence decisions
- Ability to manage and prioritize workload, multi‑task, and handle a diverse mix of issues, responsibilities and challenges
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage budgets, expenses, and execute plans
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to function effectively in a high‑performance team; exhibit flexibility and adaptability to a rapidly changing environment
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical features and benefits of a product
