Sr. Ultrasound Sonographer

Overview

Job Summary:

We are hiring for a Sonographer for our UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in Oakland.

• Perform ultrasound procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention.
• Process images on appropriate archival systems.
• Participate in performance improvement activities in the department.
• Maintain appropriate quality control records and participate in routine equipment testing and maintenance.
• Work Monday through Friday with weekend coverage as required.

• Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program in an approved school.
• Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and provide weekend/holiday/on-call coverage.
• Requires ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB/Gyn specialties at minimum.
• Requires 2 years as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or equivalent.
• New hires who meet criteria of equivalent experience and credentials held must also have equivalent Senior Sonographer skills;
  Senior Diagnostic Medical Sonographer title may be granted at the discretion of the Section Chief and Section Supervisor.
• Maintain ARDMS credential(s) according to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's criteria.
• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations and variable shifts per department needs.

• Recent work experience in an acute care setting.

• RDMS in Abdominal and OB/GYN Sonography
