Position: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)  - Oakland, CA

This Speech-Language Pathologist role is a contract position based in an elementary school setting in Oakland, CA. The assignment focuses exclusively on Pre‑K intake assessments and runs through June 3, 2026, with a full 40‑hour workweek. The onsite position requires direct work within the school environment and does not support virtual or vocational options.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive Pre‑K intake speech and language assessments.
  • Collaborate with educational teams to support early childhood communication development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments and meet compliance standards.
  • Participate in meetings and provide recommendations related to speech‑language services.
Qualifications and Desired Experience
  • State Licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) from the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) is mandatory.
  • Possession of a Clear or Professional Speech Services Credential from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) is preferred but not required.
  • Candidate must have a valid SLP license; those holding an educator credential will be considered a plus.
  • Strong preference for candidates fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or bilingual individuals.
  • Clinical Fellows (CFs) are not eligible to apply for this role.
Location
  • Elementary school located in Oakland, California.
  • Onsite presence required with no virtual work options.
