Renowned Recruitment Group is partnering with a local non‑profit in Oakland who is looking to bring on a full‑time Financial Analyst. This role will collaborate closely with departmental staff to monitor budgets, perform trend analysis, and support the CFO with forecasting and strategic planning. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and thrives in a deadline‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of month‑end and year‑end close
  • Develop tracking tools to monitor grant and contract performance against program criteria
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Partner with department leaders to perform variance analysis, investigate discrepancies, and provide actionable recommendations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with financial insights and trend analysis
  • Develop KPIs, productivity metrics, and process improvements to increase efficiency
  • Assist CFO with forecasting and budgeting assumptions across revenue, payroll, and expenditures
  • Support month‑end and year‑end close activities, including cash, expenses, payables, and accruals
  • Participate in annual financial and compliance audits, including government program reviews
  • Lead and execute ad‑hoc financial analyses as needed
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, grant requirements, and organizational policies
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or data analytics
  • Proficiency with computerized information systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, forecasting, budgeting, grant tracking, and financial analysis
  • Experience with audits, including financial statements and compliance documentation
  • Familiarity with healthcare or government‑funded programs is a plus
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
