Overview
Saybrook University seeks a graduate student Teaching Assistant (TA) to join its Department of Mind-Body Medicine, specifically to support instructional activities in biofeedback and neurofeedback. This is an internal hire only.
Under the direction of the Program Director of Applied Psychophysiology program and core faculty member, the teaching assistant will be assigned to support instructional activities up to 9 hours per week. The teaching assistantship offers learning opportunities for graduate students interested in teaching careers and mentorship.
Responsibilities- Partnering with the faculty of record to prepare Canvas courses, update syllabi, and manage video conferences
- Reviewing and responding to submitted assignments as directed
- Attending faculty team meetings as needed
- Supporting department initiatives or special projects
- Respond to emails within 24 hours Monday through Friday
- Submit work hours in Workday by Sunday evening
- Advanced skills in biofeedback and neurofeedback practices
- Committed to advancing the Saybrook mission and academic excellence
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Professionalism and mature interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Completion of required university training sessions
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program in the College of Integrative Medicine and Health Sciences
- Completed at least three semesters in the program and with satisfactory academic standing
- $20.00 per hour
- Up to 9 hours a week
