The Peralta Community College District, comprised of College of Alameda, Laney College, Merritt College, and Berkeley City College, invites applications for a Temporary, Part‑Time Instructor in ESL/ESOL.
Position Information
Time Base:
Temporary, as Needed
Compensation: $74.53 – $124.41 per hour, placement based on education, experience, and district agreement.
Location:
Oakland, CA.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1. Master’s Degree in TESL, TSOL, Applied Linguistics (TESL emphasis), Linguistics (TESL emphasis), English (TESL emphasis), or Education (TESL emphasis).
- 2. OR Bachelor’s Degree in any of the above fields, or a foreign language with TESL certificate.
- 3. AND Master’s Degree in linguistics, applied linguistics, English, composition, bilingual/bicultural studies, reading, speech, or any foreign language.
- 4. OR May submit a fully satisfied lifetime California Community College Instructor Credential authorizing service to teach courses in ESL/ESOL.
- 5. OR Equivalent qualifications (evidence required).
- 6. AND Applicant must have demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
