The Peralta Community College District invites applications for our Temporary, Part‑Time Faculty pool in the discipline of Fire Technology.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesStandard duties for Fire Technology faculty include planning, preparing, and delivering course content; assessing student performance; and contributing to program development. Specific responsibilities for this temporary position will be assigned upon hire.
Minimum QualificationsAll candidates must also demonstrate an understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Desirable QualificationsExperience with curriculum development, instructional technology, and industry partnerships in Fire Technology is preferred.
Environmental DemandsWork may involve exposure to heat, noise, and other physical conditions typical of fire service training environments.

For non‑Master’s level disciplines, the District requires two years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree and six years of experience with an Associate’s degree.
