District Office
The Peralta Community College District is a two-year college system, dedicated to providing comprehensive educational and community services to the communities it serves, including the cities of Albany, Alameda, Berkeley, Emeryville, Oakland and Piedmont California. The District enrolls over 25,000 students in a broad range of transfer and occupational curricula. The colleges in the District include College of Alameda, Laney College, Merritt College and Berkeley City College, which operate under the governance of a seven-member Board of Trustees and are administered by a Chancellor/Superintendent.

This position is grant funded. Continued employment is contingent upon refunding of the position. Under the direction of the Vice Chancellor of Educational Services, the Dean of Academic Pathways, Workforce Development and Student Success has the responsibility, coordination, and oversight of district wide efforts for the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of Carl Perkins, Strong Workforce Program, Oakland Promise and other categorical or grant funded programs in support of enhanced collaboration amongst the colleges with local unified school districts and charter schools.
The Dean is responsible for program budget development and monitoring and assure compliance with a variety of applicable laws, rules, regulations and requirements related to community college instruction.
WORK SCHEDULE: This is a full-time, 12-month position. The basic expectation of administrators is a minimum of 40 hours per week and administrators are expected to work during normal business hours of the District unless otherwise approved by his/her supervisor.

- Planning, collaboration, facilitation and implementation of instructional pathways and high school partnerships.
- Collaborate and facilitate district wide dual enrollment enrollment management efforts and CCAP and non-CCAP agreements with unified school districts and charter schools.
- Develop and supervise the Educational Services budget.
- Participate in the hiring and supervision of non-instructional district wide faculty and classified staff for Educational Services.
- Represent Educational Services at Bay Area Community College Consortium (BACCC) regional meetings.
- Serve as administrator tri-chair on the PCCD Career Education participation committee.
- Facilitate district wide Career Education (CE) collaboration (Strong Workforce Program and Carl Perkins) with the CE Liaisons and CE Deans.
- Supervise the curriculum and system technology analyst and schedulers for class schedules in collaboration with the college Vice Presidents of Instruction and Deans.
