Robert Half is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support our client with critical end-of-year accounting activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to make an immediate impact in a dynamic environment.

This position is located onsite in Oakland, CA. The duration is anticipated to last approximately 2 months with the potential to become a long-term opportunity.

Responsibilities

+ Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

+ Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation.

+ Analyze variances and resolve discrepancies promptly.

+ Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior level role.

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and end-of-year close procedures.

+ Proficiency in Excel and major accounting software (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).

+ Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
