Carpenter & Joiner - Job Opportunity A great opportunity has become available for an on?site Carpenter & Joiner based in the Oakham area. This is a full?time position working 39 hours per week across a 7?day rota. The role includes working 1 in every 3 weekends, with an additional 15% allowance added to the basic salary for weekend work. Salary: £29,009 - £35,015, depending on experience.

Role Overview The Carpenter & Joiner will play a key role in delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a busy facilities environment. This includes a wide range of joinery and carpentry tasks, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The position also supports broader environmental and zero?carbon initiatives as part of the organisation's long?term sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities Ensuring Health & Safety standards are upheld across all work areas Completing joinery tasks including the repair of doors, windows, signposts, formwork, and other bespoke timber items Overseeing the joinery workshop, including machine maintenance, statutory inspections, organisation and cleanliness Planning and organising daily work activities with the supervisor Recording and submitting details of completed work via relevant work order systems Measuring and preparing quotations for work Ordering materials and maintaining stock of building and maintenance supplies Supporting zero?carbon

and sustainability programmes where appropriate Carrying out additional reasonable duties as directed by the line manager Candidate Requirements Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Carpentry & Joinery, or equivalent Competent in manual tool handling Confident in the safe use of ladders Strong understanding of safe working practices Applications are welcomed from individuals from all backgrounds.
