.

• Prepare meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner service for 60 to 1000 children in a school environment, as part of a team.
• Work in a team of up to 15 Chefs (varies by kitchen) and typically remain in the same kitchen on an ongoing basis.
• Follow rota and shift patterns, including long days and short days, with a typical weekly total of ~41.5 hours;
  Friday/Saturday off or Sunday/Monday off as allocated.
• Ensure food safety, quality and portion control in accordance with school policies.

• Enhanced DBS (or update service) completed or in place for working in an independent school.
• Full UK Right to Work.
• Valid driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Reliable, punctual, professional and presentable.
• Ability to work as part of a small or larger team of Chefs and General Assistants.
• Qualified and/or time-served Chef with evidence of Food Hygiene / Food Allergens training.
• Ideally a Sous Chef with independent or public school experience; fresh produce experience.
• Ability to work as the sole Chef if required.
• Residential distance within a reasonable commuting distance of Oakham LE15.

Pay rate is £18.36 per hour PAYE + holiday pay %. There is a 30-minute break deduction per shift.

Role is an ongoing contract with potential for permanent placement after a qualifying period.
