Baker Oakham (Training) - Wellingborough (Permanent Site) • £14.00 - £15.00 per hour
• Monday - Friday, 6:00am start
• 8 hour shifts (finish time dependent on workload)
• Temporary to Permanent
• Immediate Start

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Baker with a strong understanding of laminated and enriched doughs. This is a hands‑on production role ideal for someone who takes pride in producing high‑quality baked goods and thrives in a team‑focused bakery environment. Production is fast‑paced, and while shifts are 8 hours, the team works until the day's production is complete. On busier days, everyone works together to ensure targets are met.

• Preparing laminated and enriched dough products, including pastries and specials
• Managing the full production process from dough preparation to baking
• Working to established recipes and production schedules
• Assessing dough readiness and adjusting processes accordingly
• Supporting stock control and ingredient rotation
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
• Assisting with routine compliance and safety checks
• Contributing to a positive and efficient production environment

• Previous experience in a bakery or pastry environment
• Strong practical knowledge of lamination, fermentation, and dough handling
• Confident managing production from preparation through to baking
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail
• Physically able to lift heavy dough and ingredient bags
• Team‑focused attitude and willingness to support colleagues on busy production days
