Supply Chain Administrator
Oakham
£16.82 per hour
Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm

A well-established and growing business based in Oakham is seeking an experienced and proactive Supply Chain Administrator to join their team. This is a fast‑paced role within a small, collaborative team. The successful candidate will need to hit the ground running, as prior experience in a similar supply chain or logistics role is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Communicating with clients to provide timely updates on order progress, confirming expected delivery schedules, and building positive working relationships through clear, consistent, and proactive communication.
- Proactively following up with suppliers and logistics providers regarding late deliveries, shortages, or quality issues, and working quickly to resolve any discrepancies to minimise operational disruption.
- Tracking shipments and coordinating with logistics providers to ensure on‑time deliveries.
- Ensuring all purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, and supply chain records are accurately recorded and filed in line with company procedures and audit requirements.
- Communicating regularly with warehouse staff to monitor stock levels, flag low inventory, coordinate goods‑in processes, and support effective stock control.
- Accurately inputting purchase orders and supply data into Sage, maintaining system accuracy, and ensuring all transactions are processed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Assisting with general administrative tasks, problem‑solving operational issues as they arise, and contributing to the efficient running of a fast‑paced supply chain function.
- Previous experience in a supply chain, logistics, or purchasing administration role
- Confident using Sage programmes
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proactive and comfortable working within a small team
