Operations Manager

The Operations Manager oversees day-to-day operational execution across propane and fuel delivery services. This role is responsible for managing dispatch, routing, yard operations, driver coordination, safety, and customer service for propane bobtail delivery, propane tank exchange, fuel tankwagon delivery, and full truckload transport operations.

This is a Monday through Friday, day-shift position that requires flexibility for after-hours and weekend communication with drivers, customers, and vendors as needed. The Operations Manager is a proactive problem-solver who leads from the front, maintains a strong safety culture, and is willing to step into operational roles when required.

• Oversee and manage daily dispatch for propane, tank exchange, tankwagon, and transport deliveries
• Create, manage, and optimize delivery routes including full truckload and local deliveries
• Assign daily routes and truck assignments
• Serve as on-call operational support for nights and weekends until dedicated coverage is established
• Manage driver daily paperwork distribution and collection

• Coordinate driver schedules and daily assignments
• Serve as a primary operations contact for drivers, customers, and vendors
• Manage Yard Associate team members, including daily task direction and performance oversight
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of operations and driving staff
• Assist with truck and driver file compliance and maintenance
• Enforce KPIs related to driver efficiency, productivity, and service performance

• Oversee yard operations including tanker levels, service scheduling, and equipment readiness
• Manage yard fuel inventory and coordinate product transfers
• Track, order, and distribute operational supplies
• Manage hazardous materials handling and disposal in compliance with regulations
• Ensure company image standards are upheld by Team Members across vehicles, yard, and facilities
• Communicate with fuel suppliers regarding daily allocations and product availability
• Act as liaison between Truck Stop Operations and Bay Area Propane and Diesel
• Collaborating with the Office Manager on customer service, billing, and issue resolution
• Assist with scheduling and resource planning for service-related items
• Serve as platform owner for Biz Speed
• Serve as platform owner for Samsara
• Ensure systems are being used effectively for dispatching, tracking, compliance, and reporting

• Enforce a Safety-First culture across all operations
• Assist with planning and execution of quarterly safety meetings
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards

• Maintain a high level of customer service and operational responsiveness
• Assist with developing and growing new transportation and delivery services
• Provide general office coordination and operational support as needed
• Provide operational support to the Sales Team within the scope of the Company’s mission statement

• Willingness to transfer fuel, load trucks, and assist in yard operations as needed
• Willingness to drive a truck to support operations during peak or emergency situations
