Salary Range: $54,549.47 - $63,162.54 (good faith estimate; actual may vary based on experience, training, etc.)

Position SummaryThe ARMHS staff provide adult rehabilitative mental health services that instruct, assist, and support the recipient in basic living and social skills for individuals with serious mental illnesses. The service areas include: interpersonal communication skills, community resource utilization and integration skills, crisis assistance, relapse prevention, health care directives, budgeting and shopping, healthy lifestyle, cooking and nutrition, transportation, medication education and monitoring, mental illness symptom management, household and employment‑related skills, and transition to community living services.
It is collaborative, working closely with Community Services, Court Services, private providers, and Canvas Health programs, and may require driving to clients’ homes or community sites.
- Provide adult rehabilitative mental health services focusing on basic living and social skills.
- Collaborate with Community Services, Court Services, private providers, and Canvas Health programs.
- Drive to individuals’ homes or in the community as needed, primarily serving Ramsey and Washington counties.
- Meet clients in homes, community settings, or via telehealth, following a 40‑hour hybrid schedule (Mon–Fri, 8 am‑5 pm).
Minimum Qualifications:
Meet DHS qualifications for a Mental Health Practitioner through one of the following paths (detailed requirements listed in the full posting).
- Completed 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in behavioral sciences or related fields AND completed 2,000 hours of supervised services with clients in mental illness, substance use disorder, emotional disturbance, or developmental disabilities; plus training on mental illness, recovery, de‑escalation, co‑occurring disorders, and psychotropic medications.
- Completed 4,000 hours of supervised services with similar client populations and the same training.
- Or other acceptable combinations of education, supervised hours and training as specified (graduate internship, practicum, or clinical training program).
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher in social work, family therapy, counseling, psychology, or related field; experience as an ARMHS worker; experience working in home; experience with electronic health records.
