Job Title: Director of Fleet Operations and Inventory Management
Location: Oakbrook, IL
Pay: $145,000-$165,000
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and parental leave
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 10+ years of fleet management or automotive experience
- 5+ years of leadership in a data-driven environment
- Strong understanding of fleet lifecycle management and telematics systems
- Proven ability to lead cross-functionally and drive operational improvements
- Experience with PowerBI
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end lifecycle management of a multi-thousand-unit commercial truck and van fleet
- Drive data-driven demand planning, vehicle procurement, and upfit execution
- Optimize inventory levels, utilization, and defleeting strategies to maximize ROI
- Partner with Sales and Operations to ensure fleet availability supports revenue and service commitments
- Develop and track fleet KPIs; translate analytics into actionable insights for leadership
- Own fleet budgeting and forecasting in partnership with Finance
- Manage OEM, dealer, upfitter, and vendor relationships
- Leverage telematics, asset tracking, and emerging technologies to improve fleet performance
