Allied Resources Technical Consultants is seeking a skilled System Administrator to support enterprise IT operations for a leading energy services organization located in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. This position is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of computer systems and servers within a complex corporate environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in system administration, performance monitoring, security management, and infrastructure support.
Hybrid – Oakbrook Terrace, IL (2 Lincoln Centre)
Onsite Tuesday–Thursday | Remote Monday & Friday
12-Month Contract (Strong Possibility of Extension)
Full-Time – 40 Hours/Week
Compensation: $60/hr – $72/hr

Responsibilities- Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software to ensure system performance, security, and reliability.
- Monitor system performance and proactively troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues.
- Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in alignment with security policies.
- Install, patch, and upgrade operating systems and enterprise software applications.
- Perform routine system backups and validate data integrity and recoverability.
- Collaborate with network engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless IT operations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal users and stakeholders.
- Document system configurations, processes, and change management activities.
- Implement and maintain security controls to safeguard systems, networks, and data assets.
- Conduct periodic system audits and ensure compliance with organizational security and operational standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in System Administration within a corporate or enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of server hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software environments.
- Experience with user access management, system monitoring tools, and backup solutions.
- Understanding of IT security best practices, patch management, and compliance standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot system, application, and infrastructure issues efficiently.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment while collaborating across technical teams.
