This is a full-time, on-site role for a Telemetry Technician located in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. The Telemetry Technician will be responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms, analyzing telemetry readings, and ensuring patient safety. The role involves real-time observation of cardiac telemetry monitors, prompt recognition of abnormal arrhythmias, and escalation to the healthcare team as necessary. The candidate will work collaboratively with clinicians and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications- Proficiency in Cardiac Monitoring and Telemetry systems
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Electrocardiography (EKG) interpretation
- Strong Communication skills, ensuring clear and efficient interaction with clinical staff
- Certification or training in telemetry or EKG is highly preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in a related field is a plus
