Independence and Innovation Specialist – Pay: $21 per hour. Monday - Friday, Hybrid. Benefits:

Responsibilities- Support individuals in developing independent living skills using smartphones, tablets, and smart home devices. Provide ongoing coaching and promote peer mentoring for greater autonomy.
- Conduct assessments to create tailored technology plans and follow up regularly to adjust to evolving needs.
- Evaluate education, skills, and interests to assess readiness for employment and assist in exploring job and volunteer opportunities.
- Facilitate individual and group outings to promote real-world skill development while connecting individuals to memberships and recreational opportunities.
- Coordinate services with team members and maintain communication with families, guardians, and support networks to ensure holistic support.
- Complete necessary documentation for state-required outcomes while ensuring adherence to privacy laws and ethical standards.
- Utilize internal databases and systems to input, track, and update status reports and service progress.
- Maintain communication with all relevant stakeholders, including families, guardians, Support Coordinators, and state agencies.
- Participate in staff development opportunities, training, and continuing education for program compliance and professional growth.
- High school diploma (or equivalent); bachelor’s degree in vocational rehabilitation or related field preferred.
- One year of experience in a field or a closely related field.
- Enabling Technology Integration Specialist (ETIS) preferred.
- Must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Duties may require occasional after-hours work and travel to organizational sites.
- Required training/certifications provided by the organization, including CPR/First Aid.
