We are seeking an ambitious and technically skilled engineering student pursuing an Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering degree with hands-on experience in bread boarding, soldering, and using multimeters/oscilloscopes within 1-2 years of graduation.

You are an ambitious and technically skilled engineering student pursuing an Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering degree with hands-on experience in bread boarding, soldering, and using multimeters/oscilloscopes within 1-2 years of graduation. You have strong research experience, a willingness to learn, and a drive to contribute to meaningful projects. You’ll support the design, assembly, and testing of electronics for advanced energy systems, working directly with engineering and chemistry teams to bring prototype devices to life.

Key Responsibilities- Assist in the design and layout of printed circuit boards (PCBs) for low-power and radiation-tolerant systems.
- Participate in assembly, soldering, and validation of electronics prototypes and test hardware.
- Support electrical testing, data logging, and root-cause troubleshooting for devices under development.
- Collaborate with engineers to design circuits for power regulation, conditioning, and battery management.
- Interface with the radiochemistry team to develop instrumentation for testing and integration of energy-harvesting components.
- Help create and maintain schematics, BOMs, and test protocols in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Participate in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), test records, and documentation for electrical subsystems.
- Contribute to design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and lab-based R&D efforts.
- End-to-end process of energy system development in a hardware startup.
- Practical application of microelectronics and power electronics in a nuclear-adjacent environment.
- How to develop and debug radiation-aware circuits, build prototypes, and test real-world energy devices.
- Exposure to ISO 9001, design documentation, and quality assurance workflows.
- Working alongside engineers, scientists, and automation specialists on a tightly integrated team.
Required:
- Enrolled in an Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering bachelor’s program.
- Familiar with circuit design, PCB layout, and basic electronics principles.
- Able to read and edit schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Hands‑on experience with bread boarding, soldering, and multimeter/oscilloscope use.
- Comfortable working in lab environments with a focus on safety and documentation.
- Experience with Altium, KiCad, or other PCB layout tools.
- Exposure to power electronics, energy harvesting, or low‑voltage DC systems.
- Interest in radiation effects on electronics, battery systems, or compact power sources.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, technical documentation, or test plan writing.
